High Grade Organic cocoa beans of Ghanaian origin
Our core business is the production of high quality organic, chemical-residue free UTZ and fair trade certified cocoa beans from Ghana. Depending on the quality requirements of our customers, we ferment cocoa without placenta and any traces of black beans.
Our farmers are trained and given the necessary support to ferment our market ready beans for seven days before thorough drying.
This is a quality standard at Yayra Glover to ensure that no purple
beans are sold to our valued customers.
Food Crops
Apart from our core business focus, our extensive organic cocoa program has a multiplier effect on especially the food crop sub-sector in our target communities. The favourable incentive environment we have created in our areas of operation and further strengthening of institutions for coordinating productive activities in same have engendered growth of other sectors, particularly the food crop sub-sector.Among other activities, our farmers are helped through technical support with high yielding varieties of plantain that apart from the local market find market in Europe and America.
ORGANIC PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCTS (PYRETHRUM 5EW)
Our strategic partnership with Agropharm UK-the manufacturers of organic crop protection products has opened more doors to our farmer families. Consequently, organic cocoa farmers now have access to variety of services including Botanical Pesticides -
Pyrethrum 5EW - with high bio-efficacy on mirids control without leaving any toxic residues in the cocoa that may finish up in the
chocolate we eat. Buyers of chocolate produced with our chemical-residue-free beans can be certain that the bar of chocolate they purchase is free from pesticide residues.
ORGANIC SHEA BUTTER
Our drive towards diversification has included the production of chemical-residue free shea nut and butter from Ghana. We are poised at positioning ourselves as a major player in the Organic Shea Value Chain. Sheabutter - a uniquely rural African produce is a salient ingredient in the cosmetic industry worldwide.
